Origin

Named after Mott St and Bayard St, Mott & Bayard Eyewear exemplifies what it means to be at the intersection of culture and style.

Mission

Buying a pair of glasses that fits well and looks great is tough. Some frames may look stylish but once you put them on, they sit too close to your cheeks or feel heavy on the nose. Some may fit perfectly but you would not be caught dead leaving the house wearing them. Mott & Bayard Eyewear was created to change that. We want to make good-looking, better fitting glasses that people will feel proud and comfortable wearing.

Mott & Bayard Eyewear was born to celebrate Style, but more importantly, we want to offer a line of better fitting glasses.

— Kenneth Ma, Founder of Mott & Bayard Eyewear

Yes, with this simple mission in mind, we started Mott & Bayard Eyewear at the corner of Mott St and Bayard St.

Mott & Bayard Eyewear embodies the cultural and stylistic dynamism of Lower Manhattan by capturing the look and feel of Soho and Chinatown. Each pair of Mott & Bayard frame was made out of the best cellulose acetate material on the market. In order to offer an international fit, we elevated our nose pads to be about 30% higher than most designer eyewear frames' nose pads. At the end of the day, we want people to choose whichever pair they want, without worrying about the fitting. We believe everyone deserves good-looking, better fitting glasses.

Introducing: Mott & Bayard TRUE FIT

Made With Cellulose Acetate
Each and every pair of Mott & Bayard frame is made from Cellulose Acetate, a non-petroleum based plastic that is made from natural cotton and wood fibers. This material is known for being strong, lightweight, and flexible. It also has the widest range for transparency, rich colors, and finishes.
Elevated Nose Pads
Our nose pads are 30% higher than most designer eyewear frames' nose pads. They provide more support and fit naturally on the nose. No more squinting or pinching!

Comfortable Frame Tilt
We adjusted the frame tilt to make it sit parallel to the face, not at a weird tilt that may make the frame lie too close to the cheek.
Five-Barrel Hinges
We added Five-Barrel Hinges to increase the stability of the frame and decrease the chance of losing a screw.
